Dr. Madhu Pai

Join us for a Global Health Conversation with Professor Madhukar Pai, MD, PhD, FCAHS, a global health leader and advocate for health equity. Dr. Pai is a Canada Research Chair in Epidemiology & Global Health at McGill University, Montreal, and associate director of the McGill International TB Centre. He is Editor-In-Chief of PLOS Global Public Health.

Dr. Pai’s research is mainly focused on improving the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis. He also researches power dynamics within the field of global public health.

With an introduction by Dr. Michele Barry, Director of Stanford’s Center for Innovation in Global Health, Dr. Pai will speak with Global Health Faculty Fellow and School of Medicine Adjunct Lecturer Paul Costello about his motivation and life journey from India to California to Canada, his work on infections and inequities, decolonizing global health, and the path towards allyship in global health.
